Sameer (Saqib Saleem), Chandigarh's useless bugger (or 'burger' as his father, Tej (Ram Kapoor), calls him), removes his father's valued possession, a Maruti Attica, within the evening to thrill the school hottie, Jasleen (Rhea Chakraborty). While Sameer handles to brush Jasleen off her ft, he eventually ends up losing the ten-lac-rupees-worth-vehicle.
So, uncle Gattu (Prabal Panjabi) and that he begin the vehicle-search. After running helter-skelter with the roads of Chandigarh through the night, the duo quit. Eventually, they prepare up an agenda to obtain another vehicle.
The kitty-and-mouse starts with Sameer trying his level better to hide this gaffe from his temperamental father. The storyline starts on the great note and it is wonderfully placed up until the interval point. Publish, second-half, you will find a couple of unbelievably over-the-top moments. Yet, Mere Father Ki Maruti handles to culminate wonderfully.
The movie's dialogues (Ishita Moitra), interspersed with Punjabi slang, are among the popular features of this movie. The storyline, composed by Neeraj Udwani, is fresh, however the treatment ended up getting a little formulaic. There is a scene by which Prabal's Gattu provides the '70 minute' speech a la Kabir Khan from Chak P India. There's another scene where a religious procession is playing Dhoom Macha Le from Dhoom. Marriage is an essential part from the movie, so there's Kajra Re from Bunty Aur Babli playing several occasions. These moments are enjoyable, only one hopes the production house does not keep approaching with 'YRF' references. It will get a little repetitive. Saqib Saleem, Prabal Panjabi and Ram Kapoor deliver outstanding performances and Rhea Chakraborty too, is very good. The good thing concerning the movie may be the feet-tapping music by Sachin Gupta. The soundtrack offers names for example Mika Singh, Years old Years old Honey Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, and Panjabi MC amongst others. Primary Senti Tha and Panjabiyaan Di Battery are surely to enable you to get hitting the replay button, over and over!
Comedy reigns supreme within the story and together with the great music and also the emotional touch for the climactic moments, makes this movie an excellent family performer. The youth, particularly, will greatly appreciate it.
